(1) MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT – (Panay Power Corporation – Maintenance Services Department)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mechanical Superintendent is in-charge of the operation of Maintenance Services Department’s Mechanical Section. Ensures that testing, repair, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of all plants’ machineries, equipment, and other accessories installed and heavy equipment units are within the operating standards. Supervises and manages mechanical works during Preventive Maintenance Schedule.

Specific duties include:

  • Plans, reviews, coordinates, and supervises the implementation of major corrective and preventive maintenance works in the plant’s mechanical aspect and heavy equipment units. Pays attention to the requirement of customer for availability, reliability, and efficiency
  • Prepares concise and comprehensive reports of preventive and corrective maintenance and other major accomplishments
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis of major corrective maintenance and recommends corrective and preventive actions. Reviews maintenance processes and procedures to achieve and maintain better plant performance
  • Prepares budgetary requirements related to equipment, spare parts, materials, and tools of the plant and its auxiliaries necessary to maintain and achieve plant performance target
  • Prepares and monitors the purchase requisitions to ensure availability of spare parts and consumables
  • Conducts technical inspection of delivered spare parts, materials, and supplies  to check conformity with specifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a licensed Mechanical Engineer
  • With at least five (5) years experience in the same capacity; preferably  on power plant operations or heavy industries
  • Should have the ability to effectively manage time, meet all specified deadlines and to motivate team members
  • Possesses team leadership, flexible, result-oriented, concern for continuous improvement
(1) MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – (Panay Power Corporation – Maintenance Services Department)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mechanical Technician ensures that inspection, restoration, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of plant’s piping system and devices, machineries, equipment, and other accessories are within the operating standards.

Specific duties include:

  • Installs scaffolding during Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
  • Performs mechanical and reconditioning activities
  • Ensures availability of spare parts and consumables prior to start of work activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Associate /Technical/ Vocational Course
  • Preferably with license or certification from TESDA for technical/vocational short courses
  • With at least three (3) years experience in diesel engine overhauling and reconditioning of major engine components
  • With at least two (2) years experience in scaffold erection and dismantling is an advantage
  • Possesses team player, flexible, willing to work on extended hours, innovative, attention to details
